Quality means doing it right when no one is looking. — Henry Ford

In a business like ours, there are ample opportunities to deliver “quality” service and “wow” customers. It’s what we spend most of our time and energy on. I live for those moments — when you make a big splash and far exceed expectations.

There are other brief, seemingly inconsequential, moments when you can deliver quality service that may go unnoticed at first, but ultimately speak volumes about your company’s philosophy and work ethic. The attached picture is one such example.

The previous vendor was clearly neglecting his relationship with the customer. After taking over the business and clearing out the mess, our team installed our product. As you can see, we take great pride in doing it right, even though nobody is watching. Best of all, that display looks just like it did in this picture, which was taken several months ago.

Sure, keeping a product display professional and neat isn’t a game changer. It should, however, give our customers confidence that we take pride in our work and we won’t take shortcuts.
